About Remmy Peterson:
Dr. Peterson is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, receiving his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2022.
Dr. Peterson is professionally trained in assessing and treating mentally ill patients across the lifespan with many treatment modalities under his belt such as crisis intervention, medication management, individual psychotherapy as well as trauma-informed care.
During his time at Columbia, Dr. Peterson has completed over 1,000 clinical hours in various psychiatric outpatient settings in NYC. He has also conducted academic research on the clinical use of ketamine for the treatment of PTSD, presenting his research at academic conferences.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Dr. Peterson worked as a registered nurse, administering ketamine IV infusion treatment for various psychiatric illnesses. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, Dr. Peterson worked as a case manager at an outpatient clinic providing and facilitating LGBTQ+ medical care.
He is also fluent in English and Spanish.
